Child Safe Policy

Child Safe Standards

The Victorian Government has introduced child safe standards to improve the way organisations that provide services to children prevent and respond to child abuse that may occur within their organisation.

Shrine of Remembrance Child Safe Policy Statement

All children visiting or engaging with the Shrine have a right to feel and be safe, respected, valued and protected from harm.

The Shrine is strongly committed to the safety and well-being of all children on our site and through engagement in our outreach programs. We create and maintain a child safe environment. The welfare of children is a priority and we have zero tolerance for child abuse.

The Shrine will take all necessary steps within its power to prevent and protect children from physical, sexual, emotional, psychological and cultural abuse and neglect. This includes protecting children from other children and visitors.

More information about the Shrine’s policy can be obtained by contacting the Shrine’s Child Safe Officer Sue Burgess 9661 8116.
