The Shrine of Remembrance offers engaging and active curriculum-linked programs on a range of themes. Students may also participate in special commemorative ceremonies held throughout the year. Deepen the impact of your visit with our library of classroom resources suitable for all levels from Foundation to VCE.

 Schools Education programs are:

  • available on weekdays from 10am to 3pm, commencing on the hour.
  • 55 or 85 minutes in duration
  • facilitated by expert guides

Bookings are essential for school groups visiting the Shrine Memorial and Galleries.

All school bookings are made online. Please note that  2017 bookings for terms 1 and 2 will open in December 2016.

See the Before your visit / FAQs page for more information about visiting the Shrine with your students.

All Shrine Schools Education programs are provided FREE OF CHARGE. Donations to the Shrine are warmly invited.

Through our Metro Inreach Program the Shrine can now provide select schools with funding to financially assist with a visit. This student inreach program subsidises the cost of one bus to and from the Shrine and your school, and up to two casual relief replacement teachers. This program is only available via application to schools with an Index of Community Socio-Educational Advantage (ICSEA) of less than 1,000 and located within the Metropolitan Melbourne area.
