The Remembrance Box Outreach program, services schools in regional and remote Victoria. All programs include hands on activities with uniforms and other objects. Where possible, the program is run in conjunction with the local RSL whose members are able to provide first hand accounts of their service History.

Why is our local memorial a special place? (For VELS Level 1 and 2)
This program focuses on commemoration in the local community. Students identify their local war memorial and why it exists. Through photographs, equipment and stories from community members, students learn about the personal experiences of war and why it should be commemorated. There is also a focus on key commemoration dates such as ANZAC Day and Remembrance Day.
Serving the nation: the stories of our diggers (For VELS Level 3 and 4)
This program focuses on the major conflicts of the twentieth and twenty-first Centuries. Using personal stories of local veterans and other Australians, students explore the formation of the ANZAC Spirit in the First World War, the impact of the Second World War on Australia as well as the changing nature of war in more modern conflicts.
Australians at War (For VELS Level 5 and 6)
This program focuses on the major conflicts of the twentieth and twenty first centuries. Using personal stories of local veterans and other Australians, students investigate the impact of war on Australia civilians and the Australian identity, the roles played by women and the changes to technology, medicine and communications across conflicts.
