Welcome to the Shrine Program

This program helps younger members of our community develop their understanding of the Shrine as a place to honour our servicemen and women and learn about our nation’s wartime history. An introductory tour of the Shrine and its grounds invites students to identify and talk about objects and artefacts that encourage an appreciation of the importance of remembrance. A life-long interest in the history of ANZAC starts with this visit which includes a brief remembrance ceremony in the Sanctuary. Students are encouraged to make their own poppy to place at the Shrine during their first ever visit.

Program runs for an hour on the hour from 10am-2pm MONDAY-FRIDAY
