Indigenous Australians at war from the Boer War to the present
Shrine of Remembrance travelling exhibition

Indigenous Australians have served Australia in all major conflicts from the Boer War to the present. The armed services would provide a first experience of equal opportunity, although sadly not an enduring one. In this exhibition the Shrine celebrates the courage, tenacity and resourcefulness of Indigenous Australians in the armed forces. The exhibition uncovers the individual and family stories of service and sacrifice of the First Australians.

Following a successful tour of regional Victoria from late 2011 until early 2014, the exhibition will tour nationally from January 2015. If you are interested in finding out more information about hosting this exhibition at your venue, please contact Jean McAuslan, Manager Exhibitions and Collections.
