New Shrine of Remembrance Website

Welcome to the new look website!  Here you will find all the information about the ceremonies, talks and events, exhibitions and education programs at the Shrine of Remembrance. The new look website is designed to showcase the Shrine of Remembrance as 'a Building with a Soul...' You are invited to explore the site and find out why the Shrine of Remembrance is such a special place.

The new website provides a wealth of information and resources about the Shrine and features many new streamlined components for better navigation for users. The revamped website has a new look and feel, multimedia and social media integration, capacity for online bookings for education and public programs as well as a donation and e-shop facilities. It features interactive components such ‘Share your Story’ and virtual ‘Lay a Poppy’ functionality where members of the public can search in the Books of Remembrance for the names of the  89,000 Victorian men and  women  who enlisted  in the First  World War.

“The new website allows for the Shrine of Remembrance to further expand its public education role within the Victorian Community, to better engage with the veterans’ community and reach out to a wider audience base” said Denis Baguley, Chief Executive, Shrine of Remembrance.

The Shrine Trustees wish to acknowledge the financial support provided by the State Government ($50k) and the Victorian Veterans Council ($25k) for this project. The initiative is part of Victorian Governments ongoing commitment to ensure the Shrine remains one of the most significant and sacred sites in Victoria. The redevelopment project of the Shrine’s website was undertaken by a Melbourne based  wed design and development company Get Started Pty Ltd.

Thank you to all the Shrine of Remembrance staff and Get Started team who worked together to bring this new look website to you.
