HMAS Lismore was a Bathurst Class minesweeper commissioned in 1941 and served during the Second World War. She was decommissioned in 1946. In October 2007 a plaque dedicated to HMAS Lismore was unveiled at the Shrine of Remembrance for the inaugural annual service held to honour those who served on her.

The HMAS Lismore Association will be joined by Berwick Primary School for the commemorative service. This is part of the Shrine's ongoing 'Adopt an Ex-Service Organisation' program, interested schools can contact the Shrine for further information.
