Tourist attraction

Shrine of Remembrance is one of Melbourne's premier tourist attraction. It consists of four levels: the Undercroft Visitor Centre, The Crypt, The Sanctuary and Balcony and is surrounded by the Shrine Reserve covering 13 hectares of beautiful parkland containing monuments and remembrance trees. The Shrine offers fantastic views of Melbourne CBD and Royal Botanic Gardens from the balcony.

Guided tours

Visitor Centre features changing exhibitions, audio visual presentation and retail shop. Guided tours are conducted daily 11am and 2pm and on demand. Ray of Light remembrance service in the Sanctuary every half hour.

Talks and events

The Shrine offers an annual program of public events and education and school holiday  programs. Changing exhibitions are featured in the Visitor Centre along with permanent displays including the Gallery of Medals and Changi Flag.
