Anzac Day 2019

MEDIA REGISTRATIONS  HAVE NOW CLOSED FOR ANZAC DAY 2019.

MEDIA ACCREDITATION

Access to Anzac Day dedicated media zones is only permitted with a pre-approved Media Zone pass, as allocated by the Shrine of Remembrance. Media accreditation is for professional members of the press who represent bona fide media organizations. See media zone placements here. Passes can be collected between 10am-4.30pm on Thursday 18 April, or  10am-4.30pm, Tuesday 23 April (noting that Shrine administration will be closed during the Easter break on Friday 19 April and Monday 22 April). KEY TIMINGS FOR MEDIA

  • Broadcast vehicle arrival times: Either Wednesday 24/5 at agreed time or 4am am on Anzac Day by arrangement
  • Media staff arrivals for entry to Zones 1 & 2: 5am - 5.30am
  • Dawn Service: 6am - 6.25am
  • Sanctuary opens to the public: 6.45am
  • Media doorstop (at Terrace Courtyard): 7.10am
  • Anzac Day March: 8.30am - 12.30pm
  • Commemorative Service and Official Wreath Laying: will commence at the conclusion of the March

MEDIA ZONE GUIDELINES

  • All media intending to enter the restricted media zones next to the podium must pre-register for the Anzac Day Service by 5pm Friday 12 April.
  • Access to the Dawn Service Media Zone 1 (North East lawn) OR Media Zone 2 (North West lawn) will be via the Eastern steps (Birdwood Avenue side). Shrine Media ID is required for entry
  • Media must stay within their allocated Media Zone and must not traverse the terrace area, nor move around, use mobile phones, or make sounds once the service commences.
  • Camera lights or flash photography is not allowed during the Dawn Service. There will be sufficient light from the lectern to capture speakers' face.
  • Drones are not permitted to be flown on site at any time.

COMMEMORATIVE SERVICE AND OFFICIAL WREATH LAYING - MEDIA ZONE GUIDELINES

  • Media with Dawn Service accreditation will be permitted access to Media Zones 1 & 2, as allocated, during the Commemorative Service. Entry is between 12-12.15pm. No media will be admitted outside this timeframe.
  • Media must not move around or make sounds during the Commemorative Service.
  • Please turn off your mobile phone until the conclusion of the Commemorative Service.
  • Media are not permitted on the concrete area or lower grass mounds between, or in front of, Media Zone 1 & 2.

SANCTUARY GUIDELINES

  • The Sanctuary is a sacred space and respect must be shown at all times.
  • Media are not permitted into the Sanctuary until it opens to the public at 6.45am.
  • Tripods are not permitted in the Sanctuary due to space limitations. Access for media will be via the Southern door at 6.45am.
