COVID-19 and Shrine Education

Bookings which fall within the period of the Shrine’s closure will automatically be cancelled. Please click here for further updates. If your planned excursion is cancelled please feel free to re-book for later in the year.

Bookings are currently open for terms 2,3, and 4 through our self-service booking system. Teachers planning excursions are encouraged to make bookings via the button below. Our system accepts bookings of between 25 and 75 students per time slot subject to availability. Please feel free to email [email protected] to enquire about larger groups or booking multiple sessions over several days.


Engage your students in active learning and reflection about the impact of war with a visit
to the Shrine. Programs are tailored to age level and aligned with the Victorian curriculum.
Education tours for tertiary institutions, specialist schools and groups of home schooled
students are also available.

School visits are free. Donations welcome.

All school visits must be booked in advance. For the best experience of the Shrine, our guided programs are the preferred option but teacher-led tours are also available.

Outreach and inreach programs are available to eligible schools, and tours are adapted on request to meet the interests of autistic people and people with disabilities.
