Search for a person

Millions of Australians have a direct link to those men and women who have served in time of war and peacekeeping. Many of these descendants of veterans go in search of a greater understanding of the nature of the service and sacrifice their relatives experienced through service records, unit histories and other such materials.

At the Shrine of Remembrance visitors can search for the names of any of the 89,100 Victorians who served overseas during the Great War in the Books of Remembrance, both online and in person and can lay a poppy in honour of any of these servicemen and women.
