    The Regiment's tree was established on the Shrine Reserve in 1995 during the "Australia Remembers" Year. The pilgrimage is in honour of all men who served in the Regiment and to the members who made the supreme sacrifice. 

    The 4th Australian Field Regiment will be supported by students and staff of Caulfield Grammar, as participants in the Shrine's Adopt an Ex-Service Organisation program. This partnership fosters relationships and enables schools to carry on the legacy of their chosen Association.

    2/6 Cavalry Commando served in the Second World War as an armoured reconnaissance regiment, with later conversion to a cavalry commando regiment. Each year on 3rd November a service is held to honour those men of the Regiment who fell in battle and those since departed.

    Raised in Melbourne at the outset of the Second World War, the 2/8th first saw action in North Africa as part of the 6th Division, before participating in the disastrous Greece and Crete campaigns. Withdrawn from the Middle East in 1942, the Battalion returned to Australia for jungle warfare training before seeing action against the Japanese in New Guinea in 1944-45. They suffered 94 killed and 272 wounded during the Second World War.

    The Association, which has branches all over the world, commemorates the service and sacrifice of French soldiers on Remembrance Day each year. On this day the Association also remembers those Australians who gave their lives on French soil in the First World War and for French freedom in the Second World War. 

    The Association des Anciens Combattants Francais de Victoria will be supported by students and staff of Camberwell Primary School, as participants in the Shrine's Adopt an Ex-Service Organisation program. This partnership fosters relationships and enables schools to carry on the legacy of their chosen Association.

    Gurkhas are elite light-infantry soldiers from Nepal who have served in the British Army for over 200 years with a reputation for being fiercely courageous warriors. They have stood beside Australian troops in almost every conflict since Gallipoli. In honour of our Nepalese allies, the Shrine hosts the Gurkha/Nepalese Wreath Laying Service on the closest Sunday to Remembrance Day, held at their memorial plaque located near the Legacy Garden, which was dedicated on Remembrance Day 2007
