Join us at week's close to honour those who have served and sacrificed so that we may enjoy our lives of relative peace, comfort and freedom.
Each Sunday we pause to remember a different event from Australia's military history. We remember the men and women who took part in those events, and the lives lost or forever changed.
Today we remember the conclusion of Operation Faber. Taking place from 19 June to 15 September 1999, it was part of the United Nations Advance Mission in East Timor (UNAMET). As part of the operation, 45 Military Liaison Officers and over 250 Australian Federal Police deployed to assist with East Timor's referendum for independence.
This service will be live streamed.
