Join us at week's close to honour those who have served and sacrificed so that we may enjoy our lives of relative peace, comfort and freedom.

Each Sunday we pause to remember a different event from Australia's military history. We remember the men and women who took part in these events, and the lives lost or forever changed.

Today, in recognition of World Children's Day, we remember the impact of war and conflict on children. The youngest of those who went to the First World War were children, and today, children across the world are deeply affected, both directly and indirectly, by conflict. While in the past war has been an indirect experience for many Victorian children, we recognise those whose lives were affected. Because of war, children have lost loved ones, faced separation from family, endured hardships and sacrifices, or bore witness to the uncertainty and anxiety that war can bring.

Shrine Representative:

  • Shrine Governor Mohammed Abdur Rahman
