School Outreach & Inreach

The Shrine’s award winning approach to learning about Australia’s wartime history is also available off-site.

This Outreach and Inreach Education program initiative for low ICSEA profiled schools is kindly supported by the Portland House Foundation. Shrine Outreach and Inreach Education programs are suitable for students from Year 5 to VCE levels.

Donations for this free program are warmly invited.


METRO INREACH PROGRAM

The Shrine can now provide select schools with funding to financially assist with a visit to the Shrine. This student inreach program subsidises the cost of one bus to and from the Shrine and your school, and up to two casual relief replacement teachers. This program is only available via application to schools with an Index of Community Socio-Educational Advantage (ICSEA) of less than 1,000 and located within the Metropolitan Melbourne area.

METRO OUTREACH PROGRAM

Shrine Education staff visit select schools with our hands-on student program. This program is only available via application to schools with an Index of Community Socio-Educational Advantage (ICSEA) of less than 1,000 and located within the Metropolitan Melbourne area.

REGIONAL OUTREACH PROGRAM

These programs are offered to select schools located at regional areas of Victoria in conjunction with the Shrine's Travelling Exhibitions program, or your local Victorian Returned and Services League branch. These programs are facilitated by Shrine Education staff.
