As part of a national reunion in Melbourne, the 8th Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment will hold a commemorative service for those men who died while serving in South Vietnam, Malaysia, and Australia.

Led by the Rats of Tobruk Pipes and Drums, the veterans will march from the Lower Forecourt of the Shrine and arrive in position in front of the Eternal Flame at 11.00am.

The service will be attended by Major General Adrian Clunies Ross AO MBE (Retd). After the service, veterans and spectators will be invited to light refreshments provided by the Salvation Army in adjacent parkland. A group photograph will also be taken on the Shrine steps before viewing of the Shrine commences under private arrangements.
