Join us for a compelling webinar revealing the race to locate and recover Australia’s missing service personnel from the Second World War.

Eighty years after the war’s end, thousands of fallen Australians remain unaccounted for in the Asia–Pacific. In places like Papua New Guinea, extreme heat is rapidly degrading remains making recovery harder with each passing year.

In this webinar, Officer Commanding Global Investigations with the Army’s Unrecovered War Casualties Unit Major Cameron Clarke will explore the geographical, environmental and historical factors that make operations in this region especially demanding and how they differ from First World War recoveries.

From dense jungle terrain to the ongoing impact of war on local communities, learn why each mission demands a specialised approach and how advances in science are helping reconnect families with loved ones lost in battle.
