The Royal Australian Armoured Corps (RAAC) is a combat unit of the Australian Army that has been active since 1941. RAAC units have a range of capabilities including direct attack, reconnaissance and providing armoured mobility to infantry. 

Considered the modern cavalry, the RAAC are equipped with the Abrams M1A1 main battle tank family of vehicles, or the Australian Light Armoured Vehicle and Bushmaster protected mobility vehicle.
