Since the early 2000s, Hungarian artist László Bordos has been at the forefront of the awe-inspiring art of 3D mapping, leaving an indelible mark on a global scale. 

Meet the artist behind SACRA, a world premiere commission for Now or Never commemorating the centenary of the design competition that resulted in one of Melbourne’s most iconic buildings: the Shrine of Remembrance. Bordos will take audiences on a journey through his pioneering career, past works, and offer fascinating insights into the behind-the-scenes magic that brought SACRA to life.

This event runs for 60-minutes, concluding with an audience Q&A.

Based in Budapest, László Zsolt Bordos is a highly acclaimed visual artist renowned for his groundbreaking work in 3D mapping. Through his mesmerizing architectural projections, he has transformed iconic structures such as The Barbican Centre and the Hungarian Palace of Arts into dynamic canvases of light and shadow. His captivating installations have enraptured audiences at prestigious festivals including Mapping Festival Geneva, Glow Eindhoven, Signal Prague, and Lux Helsinki. With his visionary approach, Bordos has presented his work over 40 countries, continually pushing the boundaries of art and technology through his immersive visual narratives.
