This service pays tribute to those who took part in the Boer War, fought in South Africa from 1899-1902. As part of the British Empire, the 6 Australian colonies supplied troops until 1901. From then, these troops came from the new Australian Commonwealth.

An estimated 16,000 Australians fought in the Boer War, with 600 casualties. Six Australian soldiers also received the Victoria Cross for their actions in battle.

This service will be live streamed.
