Join us at week's close to honour those who have served and sacrificed so that we may enjoy our lives of relative peace, comfort and freedom.

Each Sunday we pause to remember a different event from Australia's military history. We remember the men and women who took part in those events, and the lives lost or forever changed.

This week we commemorate the Air Battle over Sunchon on 1 December 1951. This marked the largest air-to-air battle for the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) during the Korean War. We honour the courage and skill of the RAAF pilots who fought valiantly in this challenging engagement. The battle highlighted the importance of adapting tactics and highlighted the need for modern jet fighters.
