Join us at week's close to honour those who have served and sacrificed so that we may enjoy our lives of relative peace, comfort and freedom.
Each Sunday we pause to remember a different event from Australia's military history. We remember the men and women who took part in those events, and the lives lost or forever changed.
Today we remember those who served with Operation Anode as part of the Regional Assistance Mission to Solomon Islands. RAMSI was a partnership between the Solomon Islands and contributing countries of the Pacific region designed to restore stability and peace to the Solomons, and to encourage economic development. Operation Anode ran from 2003 until 2013, with over 7,000 Australian personnel deployed in that time.
