Australia has a long history of peacekeeping. On 14 September 1947, four Australian officers became the very first United Nations military observers to go into the field. Since then, more than 66,000 Australians have served in a peacekeeping or peacemaking role.

They have served in over 70 operations in more than 60 different countries. 16 Australians have died on peacekeeping operations.

Join us to honour their service and sacrifice.
