Accessible Parking

Accessible car spaces are available opposite the Shrine on both sides of Birdwood Avenue.

Accessible Toilets

Accessible toilets are located on both the north side and south side of the building (accessible by lift)

Assistance Animals

The Shrine of Remembrance welcomes all visitors with assistance animals (such as guide dogs) certified by a registered authority.

Assistive Hearing / Hearing Loop

The Shrine's Auditorium includes a hearing loop for patrons who are d/Deaf or hard of hearing and who have a hearing aid. Most major remembrance services include an Auslan interpreter.

Companion Cards

The Shrine is pleased to accept the Companion Card for all visitors with a disability, who require a companion at all tours and events, upon presentation of a valid Companion Card at the time of booking. Food and drinks

The Shrine offers a selection of sandwiches, cakes, confectionary and hot and cold drinks in the Visitor Centre, in a wheelchair accessible area.

Lift & Escalators

Lift access is available to the Galleries of Remembrance, Crypt, Auditorium, and Sanctuary. The Visitor Centre and the Education Centre are step-free. The lift does not extend to the Balcony.
